"The Gulf Programming Contest is a fantastic occasion and is an opportunity to see some of the nation's brightest young minds compete in the field of ICT. These students work incredibly hard at university and I applaud them all for taking the opportunity to put the theory they learn in the classroom into practice on the competition floor," said H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of the TRA.

"Regional events such as these are perfect preparation for UAE students to compete on a world stage. Ensuring that the UAE retains its position at the very forefront of the global ICT industry is a key priority for the TRA. Events such as these help create a culture of excellence within the field of ICT and the occasion will prove invaluable to the development of the sector as a whole in the UAE. It is with great pleasure that the TRA is involved with this year's event and we look forward to seeing the innovative thinking and problem solving that will undoubtedly be on show at Khalifa University," he added.

The Gulf Programming Contest provides a great opportunity for students majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or any IT related subjects to demonstrate their programming ability and problem solving.
