Transformers adds full party makeovers to its event rentals, photo booth and interactive entertainment offering

  • PRESS RELEASE

Transformers, the Dubai-based event ingredients company, has introduced a new concept - the Transformation Station - for parties, team-building and celebrations in the UAE.

Consisting of 'makeovers and more' - for adults and children alike - the Transformation Station integrates with the company's popular Fotopod photo booth product and can be hosted by a Transformers costume character for an even greater wow factor.

Fotopod's unique Shoot & Share features mean that users can share - as well as print - their branded photos via email or by posting to their facebook wall directly from the touch screen.

The technology is contained within a space-efficient plinth unit, which itself can be themed or branded using a full graphic wrap.

Transformers' Frost Yourself experience at the Burj al Arab's recent New Year gala was hosted by the company's amazing Ice Queen costume character against a 3m x 3m backdrop of sparkling diamonds.

The focal point of the Transformation Station was a 'bling trolley' decked with Swarovski props, many of them precious designs by Count Alexander von Beregshasy from a private collection. Glamorous crystal tattoos were also provided for guests, alongside glitter henna, crystal lashes and nail art.

A major corporate recently commissioned a kids' Transformation Station on a science fiction/futuristic theme for a large-scale family dinner in Abu Dhabi. Transformers provided high end face painting, make-up and props to morph children into cyborgs, Avatars and mini Lady Gagas. Tables and trunks were piled full of alien, robot and Transformers masks, wigs, helmets, light sabres, antennae, costumes and an array of flashing LED accessories.

Managing Director, Danielle Nay, said, "We supply Fotopod primarily (though by no means exclusively) to brands and corporates for whom we create a highly customised user experience, both on and off-screen, that integrates seamlessly with social media. We avoid supplying a random jumble of props and dress-up items; even our cheaper giveaways are immaculately matched to the theme and the event colours. Our photo booth dress-up zones have become increasingly elaborate and are deployed by a highly trained creative team - so we decided to formalise the offering."

"It's great fun! We're currently designing Transformation Stations for party themes as diverse as The Great Gatsby, Marie Antoinette, Harajuku Girls, Underwater, Secret Garden, Copacabana and Tarantino. For kids, there's everything from Eye Candy to Robots, via Hello Kitty and Shrek. Transformation Stations are also available as a standalone offering without Fotopod or costume characters. In this instance, the host or hostess will usually be styled in keeping with the theme, even if it's just a lobster cocktail hat," he added.

Transformers is a UAE-based event content and rentals company specializing in interactive, theatrical and decorative creative solutions. Well known for pioneering YrWall (the Digital Graffiti Wall) in the region, Transformers also supplies other digital products, table decor, costume characters, Fotopod and bespoke/couture design.

Transformers recently created costumes and props for the Water, Fire and Light show on the Burj Lake in Downtown Dubai, which premiered on New Year's Eve and ran throughout the Dubai Shopping Festival 2013 (an Avantgarde production for Emaar).
