Travel City appointed sole travel agent for Duqm flight operations

Travel City will manage the flight inventory (seat selling) as well as handle the airline ticketing and related services of this flight. Additionally, Travel City will also provide airport transfers at the Ja'aloni airport and Hotel Bookings in Duqm for all passengers. All these services can also be booked online through duqmair.com, provided by Travel City, which will go live by mid-January 2013.

The aircraft which is an ATR, operated by Oman Air, is currently available for commercial bookings shortly and will operate thrice a week (Saturday, Monday & Wednesday) between Muscat and Duqm.

Mr. Sunil Prabhakar, CEO, Travel Group expressed his joy on the occasion saying, "This is indeed a significant responsibility awarded to us by SEZAD, and we are happy to be a part of the Government's commendable effort in the economic and infrastructural development of the Duqm region."

This direct flight between Muscat and Ja'aloni airport in the Al Wusta Governorate will bring the two regions closer, by reducing the travel time from 6 hours by land to one and half hour by air, benefitting very many citizens, businessmen, investors and tourists who frequent this region. In the near future, Travel City will be offering the Fly and Drive Option, wherein passengers can decide to fly one way and drive the other, by booking the car rental option with the agency itself.
