Two-day exhibition kick-started

Eng. Adullah Raffia, Assistant Director General, Dubai Municipality has inaugurated two-day exhibition and seminar series to promote Green Building concepts organized jointly by Dubai Municipality and Society of Engineers in Al Mamzar.

The two day event comprising exhibitions, seminars, workshops and lectures is organized under the theme 'My Green Home'.

"{More efforts are needed to educate people on green building concepts and to spread the awareness on environmental preservation" said Eng. Adullah Raffia while he spoke in the function.

"Those who are preparing for building their home would find the whole event as a guide for construction based on green vision," he hoped.

Organizers said, "Event would create participants a chance to acquaint with green versions of all jobs included in a building construction like fixing consultant, appointing contractor, planning, designing, buying materials and electrification."

Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme and many other government and private bodies concerned with building sector are participating the event. Special training sessions are scheduled for school students.

Top officials from the building department of Dubai Municipality and from Society of Engineers attended the inaugural function.
