- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, July 05 - 2012 at 10:43
The UAE Telecoms Regulatory Authority (TRA) has given subscribers a timeframe of 18 months to re-register their SIM cards under its 'My Number, My Identity' programme, Gulf News has reported. "The TRA had introduced a number of procedures to facilitate the process of transferring the SIM cards from the actual owners to the actual users," said Mohammad Nasser Al Ghanim, TRA director general. Subscribers are expected to fully update their data and ensure that the SIM cards they're using are registered under their names, he said.
