- PRESS RELEASE
As the UAE prepares for a slew of business, sports and entertainment activities lined up all through the year, its event management industry is witnessing its busiest season ever. Demand for skilled and semi-skilled outsourced staff that can independently manage and support the events have peaked to an all-time high, says Dulsco, a leading regional provider of human resources solutions.
"Specialist and high-footfall events such as these require trained manpower that can be deployed at short notice," says Balakumar, Director, Dulsco HR Solutions.
"The events segment forms a significant part of our business and we invest a great deal in training the team members in all aspects of event management so that our clients can focus on their core business."
At the two GITEX shows, Dulsco deployed a total of 350 outsourced staff - a 52% increase over the corresponding period last year - to handle various activities such as product sales, ticketing, managing visitors, and handymen jobs. Dulsco's clients at the shows included major players such as Dubai World Trade Centre, E-Max, Fujitsu, LG Electronics and Samsung.
Balakumar added that events such as GITEX were aimed at providing exhibitors with high return on investments through direct business opportunities and closer interaction with their target customers.
"Event management is an extremely complex discipline. Hence, clients prefer to approach HR outsourcing companies which understand the business and share an interest in their business," he said.
With the technology shows concluding successfully recently, Dulsco isnow turning its sight on other events across the UAE, such as concerts, sport tournaments, retail activities, corporate events, exhibitions, cultural festivals and other high profile events. Dulsco will also be providing its trained promoters, skilled and semi-skilled blue-collar manpower to support other prestigious shows across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
