'UAE Ideas 2012' to put spotlight on Emirati experiences, innovation

The theme of the conference will be 'My Innovation - My Identity.'

The Conference includes multiple activities like the 'Idea of the Year 2012' Award that aims at identifying the most important ideas applied within organizations during 2011, and honouring organizations and staff for the best of their ideas.

The participation in this award brings many benefits as the ceremony is considered an additional source of honouring the employee and the organization. It highlights the importance of employee participation in presenting ideas, which will reflect positively on the organization itself.

The Organizing Committee of the Conference brought down the curtain on receiving applications for this award in late September.

This year's conference will revolve around the topic 'Emirati Innovation 2012' and aims at setting up a creative platform, dedicated to Emiratis, in order to highlight Emiratis' role in the country's development. This quality conference will bring together a large number of national experts and keynote speakers, in the context of announcing the unique and first-of-its-kind initiative 'My Innovation - My Identity,' that will focus primarily on promoting innovation at the national level.

Speaking on the subject, Saleh Janeeh, Chairman of DQG, said, "Idea of the Year 2012 Award, to be held on the sidelines of the conference, will stand out this year with a set of benefits, experiences and creative ideas, based on the Award's active participation, used mechanism and set criteria."

He said, "Dubai Quality Group has recently organized a workshop about the Idea of the Year Award, sought to raise awareness among the participants about how to fill up the Award's application form, in addition to displaying the criteria based on which the evaluation of these ideas takes place."

Janeeh is optimistic about making the benefit more extensive, more comprehensive and more accurate by leaving the positive impact on the quality participation in the ideas, suggestions and mechanisms that the Group wants for individuals and organizations.

In this regard, HE Sultan Saqr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Culture and Science Symposium, said, "The UAE Ideas Conference supports with confidence all aspects of creativity, organizations and individuals need, since it is necessary to invest optimally in Emirati human resources, and find a work environment that encourages creativity and innovation. This may not take place unless we expand circle of participation and expertise, transfer useful experience, and promote ideas, suggestions and possibilities. So, we should make our efforts to reach together the position of creativity that we seek."

Sami Abdullah Gargash, General Manager of Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, explained that the Emirate of Dubai diligently supports quality visions, ideas and experiences. He noted that what the experiment attained in a few years is the best proof of quality, integration and creativity adopted by the UAE in general, and Dubai in particular.

He believes that the UAE Ideas Conference to be a creative haven for everyone, since it provides for successive national generations mature opportunities for progress in a world based on quality, and therefore, the chances of success seem to multiply.

Dr. Omar Jaffar, Chairman of Australian International School, considered that the near conference glows the horizon of citizens with creative experiences that are endless, and that would give skilled nationals the adequate opportunity to enter a world full of information.

Dr. Jaffar stressed the need of UAE Ideas 2012 to be established on every new achievement of the UAE in various fields, and that it uplifts the ambition of sons of the nation, until the citizens find in it what makes them achieve a better world by all standards and considerations, whether this was by experience, or expertise or support and possibilities.
