UAE JV scores $8m contract for geospatial data sharing system

Harris Atlas Systems, a joint venture between UAE-based Atlas Telecom and Harris Corp, has won an $8m contract to provide an unnamed Middle Eastern government agency with a geospatial data sharing system, UPI has reported. Harris is to provide enterprise and mobile versions of Harris Corp's Active Catalogue system, which enables users to manage, share and retrieve large volumes of geospatial data and which also provides access to live data feeds, generates and publishes documents and map products.
