UAE says no NCoV cases detected

The UAE health ministry has said that no Sars-like virus cases have been recorded so far in the country, despite the 11 registered cases of the new virus have been reported worldwide, Gulf News has reported. The virus, known as novel coronavirus or NCoV, was first noted when the World Health Organisation issued an international alert last September, saying a virus previously unknown in humans had infected a Qatari man who had recently been in Saudi Arabia. "The ministry is collaborating closely with the WHO on this issue, and so far no residents have been diagnosed with the virus in the UAE," a ministry official said.
