UAE warns against weight-loss drug

The UAE health ministry has warned against the use of Majestic Elegance capsules, which are used to lose weight, Gulf Today has reported. The drug was found to contain harmful substances that could especially affect patients with coronary artery problems and those with high blood pressure who have already been diagnosed with clogged arteries in the limbs, said Dr Amin Hussein Al Amiri, assistant undersecretary for medical practices and licences at the ministry.
