UAEU Student Affairs Deanship launches 'Privilege Card'

The Student Affairs Deanship at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) launched the project 'Privilege Card', to deliver discounted services and offers to UAEU students, staff and faculty members in more than 100 commercial outlets.

The contracts with the companies were signed at the inauguration ceremony held at the UAEU campus with the presence of company representatives and businessmen. The ceremony was inaugurated by H.E. Prof. Mohamed Yousif Baniyas, UAEU Provost and Chief Academic Officer. Prof. Baniyas conveyed the regards and appreciation of H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, UAEU Vice Chancellor, to the participating companies for serving an important part of the community, especially the students.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Shayeb, Dean of Students, praised the efforts of the students and his department on their initiative and seeing the project through to the end.

He added "The project team have formed a partnership with approximately 100 companies which have more than 200 branches in addition to 150 hotels around the world to provide special offers for the UAEU community."

Via this "Privilege Card", students and staff are eligible for discounts and special offers provided by many companies, hotels, restaurants, resorts, shops inside and outside UAE. The project will serve about 14,000 students, more than 50,000 graduates and over 3,000 staff and faculty members.
