UAQ motorists offered 50% discount on fines

The traffic department of Umm Al Quwain has announced motorists will be given a 50% discount on traffic fines from tomorrow, October 14, until December 6 after the celebration of UAE National Day, Gulf News has reported. The offer will take effect. The discount in fines applies to all traffic fines of this year, said Lt. Col. Saeed Obaid Bin Aran, director of the traffic department at Umm Al Quwain Police. The decision also includes the owners of vehicles who registered cars in other emirates, and are applied to all traffic violations committed only in the emirate, he noted.
