UK-based JPG is expanding its operations into the Middle East and North Africa, after the civil and structural engineering consultancy sustained steady growth in the UK despite dire conditions in the property industry, Builder and Engineer has reported. The firm has entered into a partnership agreement with mechanical and electrical engineering firm Silcock Leadham, which is already operating successfully in Qatar and Libya, and has also set up JPG International in Oman to offer civil and structural consultancy services. "There are tremendous opportunities emerging in the Middle East and North Africa and we have been able to match the criteria and expertise required in providing new infrastructure for growth areas such as rail, airport and education campuses," said Chris Harding, director at JPG.
