Umniah confirms importance of social networking and supports 3rd Arab Social Media Forum

Based on Umniah's belief in the importance of social media networking as one of the leading web service around the world and its commitment to support the Information Technology sector, Umniah, the telecom partner, supported the 3rd Arab Social Media Forum which was held in Amman.
After the Forum's success for the first time in Oman and for the second time in Riyadh, it was organized for the third time in Amman, during which several topics were discussed such as the importance of social media, in regards to projects and business investments, latest updates, and how to effectively implement a social media campaign.
On this occasion Umniah's CEO Ihab Hinnawi said: "Social media networking has strongly forced itself during the past three years where its role became more than social networking and turned into an interactive marketing and promotional platform. It is an effective media tool that raises awareness about building communities and economies."
Hinnawi added: "We sponsored the Arab Social Media Forum which succeeded in establishing an interactive platform that enhanced the awareness of the importance of social networking in communication, media and marketing."
The latest official figures show that the number of Facebook users in the world exceeded 45 million users including 2.5 million in Jordan while Twitter users in the Arab world are around 4 million including 36 thousand users in Jordan.
From his end, the Founder and President at Arab Social Media Forum, Malik Shishtawi, stressed on the importance of telecommunications companies' support and particularly Umniah leading to a successful Forum that aimed to talk about social media and its positive results which can be helpful for small and medium size projects.
Shishtawi said: "The Forum is evolving year after year and this driven by developments in the social networking field which started to enter the daily life of all users. If used properly, social networking can become an important tool that companies could benefit from to successfully formulate effective communication strategies and plans."
