Unilever and Johnson & Johnson confirmed to speak at AMI's flexible packaging Middle East 2012 Conference in Dubai

AMI's Flexible Packaging Middle East conference is an established forum where all stages of the packaging supply chain meet to discuss key trends and developments influencing market growth and profitability.

The Middle East region is growing at rates of over 15% per year with all major application areas advancing. In particular the growth of sophisticated packaging converter markets are giving companies the opportunity to participate in added value areas where profits are greatest. Flexible Packaging Middle East 2012 will build delegates knowledge to provide an opportunity for the industry to meet and discuss the issues of concern today.

AMI have put together a very impressive programme including expert speakers such as Mr Leonardo Bianchi, Global Packaging Manager at UNILEVER, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Habiba, Regional Marketing Manager at JOHNSON & JOHNSON, Mr Zahoor Ahamd Hakeen, Marketing & Product Development Manager at MANAMA PACKAGING and Mr. Muhammad Ali Mirza, Head of Sales and Marketing AMEA at TAGHLEEF INDUSTRIES LLC.

The conference will open with a market overview, followed by a session on raw materials. Several topics such as sealing performances of polyethylene, polyamides, polypropylene cast film will be covered. The session on packaging innovations will include papers about the global challenges packaging solutions, but also developments in barrier coated film and laminating adhesive technologies.

The machinery session will include presentations on the latest technology available for innovative blown film and layer multiplier technology. The gel count standard will also be covered as well as the latest trends in laminate & composites films.

The event will close with a business forum where the environmental pressures on the Middle East packaging industry will be covered as well as the changing structure of the Middle East food packaging industry and the conference will end with an AMI paper by Research Director Andrew Reynolds on the development of the Middle East packaging markets.
