Union National Bank participates at 15th National Career Exhibition, Sharjah

UNB will be participating at the 15th Edition of the National Career Exhibition which is taking place at the Expo Centre in Sharjah from 20th to 22nd of February, 2013.
UNB is committed to developing the UAE youth by presenting them with opportunities and challenges through which they can prove themselves," said Mr. Abdulla Alrashedi SVP & Head of Management Services Group at UNB. "Our presence in the National Career Exhibition highlights our dedication to the Emiritisation drive and enthusiasm to nurture the talents and knowledge of our youth," he added.
"The exhibition is an ideal opportunity to create opportunities for UAE Nationals in order to allow them to find a job and also to ensure that they know what skills are needed within the work place," concluded Mr. Alrashedi.
As a part of its strategy, UNB has a number of strategic alliances with several UAE based universities and organizations and provides a number of training programmes which make it one of the leading employers for UAE Nationals in the country, such as:
- UNB Endowment Agreement with Zayed University to establish a Professorship at Zayed University titled "Union National Bank Professorship in Banking". UNB is contributing an amount of Five Million Dirhams over a period of five years to establish this Professorship in Banking.
- UNB MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the UAE University (UAEU) which will significantly boost employment opportunities for UAE Nationals at UNB, and within the banking sector in the UAE.
- UNB agreement with the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) to sponsor "Derasatee" Program an initiative by the EIBFS to support Emiratization.
It is worth mentioning that UNB will be participating in most of the upcoming career fairs that will be held during 2013 all over the UAE.
