United Arab Bank appoints Simon Taylor as Head of Sadara Wealth Management

United Arab Bank (UAB), has appointed Simon Taylor as Head of Sadara Wealth Management. Simon - a British-born banker who started his career in Wealth Management with Prudential Assurance - spent 19 years in a range of Wealth Management, Retail Banking, Mortgage and Credit risk positions with Lloyds Banking Group.

He moved to the UAE in 2004 to join the international wealth team in the Offshore Banking Division from his former base in Central Scotland, UK where he developed the wealth team in Retail Banking. His last position from May 2008 was Head of Mortgages in Dubai; prior to that he was Head of Business Development for Retail Banking.

Welcoming Simon at UAB, Tom Smith, Executive Vice-President & Group Head of Retail Banking, said: "Simon arrives armed with a wealth of experience in the field of wealth management and his appointment will greatly strengthen UAB's retail strategy.
