United Arab Emirates University signs MOU with Japanese corporations

United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and the Medical Excellence Japan Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding based upon cooperation to provide advanced systems and modern health services.
These seminars will have a particular focus on improving skills in operating the endoscope, radiation therapy and the impact of effective irradiation methods on the human body, along with organ transplantation, taking into consideration the ethics and cultural aspects.
H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, UAEU Vice Chancellor welcomed this agreement which aims at elevating the level of treatment and examines prevention methods using the latest technological systems.
"This agreement is listed within the priorities and strategies of the UAE government concerning the environment and community health", he said.
At the same time, he praised the role the Medical Excellence Japan Center plays in the field of medical services and welcomed the beginning of a fruitful relationship.
Mr. Eriya Kitano, Managing Director of Medical Excellence Japan Center, thanked UAEU for their hospitality and stated, "This cooperation represents the strong relationship between the two countries and the Center will strive in its efforts to provide the best medical services under this agreement."
The event was also attended by H.E. Nasser Al Sowaidi, Chairman of Department of Economic Development and H.E. Toshimitsu Motegi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry in Japan
On the same day another agreement for cooperation and academic exchange was signed between the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Studies (VPRGS) at UAEU and the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) at The University of Tokyo. Prof. Sehamuddin Galadari, VPRGS represented UAEU, whereas Prof. Yoshiaki Nakano, Director General of (RCAST) represented the University of Tokyo in signing the agreement. The agreement discussed cooperation in the fields of common interest such as:
Research, development, and professional consultations, education and specialized training programs, dissemination of information based on mutual Agreement on specific activities, exchange of faculty, administrative staff and researchers, facilitate student visits of both parties, exchange appropriate scientific publications and organization of scientific conferences, workshops, and specialized seminars that focus on the latest scientific developments related to areas of mutual interests.
