VIVA unwraps spectacular weekend to celebrate third anniversary

"We are grateful with the support extended by the people of Bahrain which has helped us achieve our success to date. The events and surprises we have planned are a big thank you to them," said Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, VIVA CEO.

"There is no doubt on the key role our customers have played in helping us reach our milestones and we hope everyone will join us in our celebrations."

The events and activities mark VIVA's successful three years since the company began commercial operation on 3rd March 2010. Among the many highlights are being the first telecom operator in Bahrain to successfully test and showcase its state-of-the-art 4G/LTE network in early 2012.

The company has consistently been at the forefront of innovation by introducing the latest devices first in the Kingdom, and has entered into key strategic partnerships with Manchester United, the Bahrain Football Association, the Bahrain International Circuit for the VIVA Karting Track and the Royal Golf Club to uplift the sporting talent of the community.

"We have accomplished so much in the last three years and are thankful for the support VIVA has received from the wider community of Bahrain," continued Al Wetaid. "We still have much to accomplish and 2013 promises to be another year of evolution and growth for us."

The weekend's events kick off on Thursday 28th February and will last until Sunday 3rd March.

Customers visiting Bahrain's stores at Bahrain City Centre and Seef Mall will be able to take home their own memento of the anniversary with a caricaturist, silhouette artist or a picture at the photo booth.

Customers will be able to 'tweet for a gift' at a specially-designed VIVA gift machine located in Seef Mall and Bahrain City Center , with the chance for people to win gifts and prizes including top-ups.

Kids will also have the opportunity to celebrate the anniversary too with an all-day festival to be held on Friday1st March at The Lagoon in Amwaj Islands. Starting at 10.00am and running until 10.00pm, the VIVA Kids Festival will feature exciting family activities.
