Mr. Bhat was formerly Head of Regions at General Automotive Company and will now be heading the Volkswagen brand with responsibility of augmenting brand Volkswagen in Oman and enhancing the market share for the German automobile giant.
Commenting on the significance of the appointment, Serdar Toktamis, Group General Manager at Zubair Automotive Group, noted, "It is my pleasure to congratulate Hemant on his appointment. He has been a long standing member of the Zubair Automotive Group family and we are sure that his widespread understanding of the automotive sector in Oman will provide the Volkswagen brand with a definite advantage as he brings a wealth of executive, strategic, regional and after sales experience from his previous roles."
Mr. Bhat commented on this new position, "Volkswagen Oman has achieved great success over the last 12 months and Oman will continue to be one of the important markets for Volkswagen in the Middle East.
