- PRESS RELEASE
Westcon Middle East, a value-add distributor of Convergence, Infrastructure, Mobility and Security products and solutions, announced that it has been signed as a distributor for VSS Monitoring in the Middle East.
As per the agreement, Westcon Middle East will be responsible for the entire product range of VSS Monitoring in the region. Westcon Middle East will offer the vendor's solutions through its extensive network of specialty resellers and system integrators across the region.
"In today's data centres, traffic monitoring and enterprise wide visibility of traffic is a big challenge and VSS Monitoring's award winning products solve this issue and make a great addition to our solution portfolio. We see a healthy uptake in this region especially in large enterprises, government organizations, managed service providers and telcos," says Lakshman Nalvade, Divisional Manager, Westcon Security.
Most of today's network monitoring tools do not have access to the real physical and link layer of the network, since they are relying purely on Switched Port Analyzer (SPAN) ports, traditional aggregators and/or Netflow. Network Packet Brokers (NPBs) represent a new approach for visibility and brokering of network packets while optimizing and scaling the connectivity between network switching and the entire network of performance and security analytics, inline security and WAN acceleration tools.
Addition of VSS network monitoring systems reduce an end user's overall network monitoring costs by up to 80%, while extending their visibility through their entire network.
"Our partners have been instrumental in making VSS the leader in network security and monitoring visibility systems," says Dean Beaver, Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Alliances. "Our investment in the Westcon Group Middle East reflects our commitment to our partners' success by providing the programs, training and support that will help them accelerate their business growth."
