- PRESS RELEASE
The highly successful three-day Wedding Arabia 2012 exhibition held here recently reasserted once again the strength of the Saudi economy and the increasing purchasing power of many young affluent professionals in Saudi Arabia brought about by rising income level.
Affluent consumers are returning to premium brands, and those with newfound wealth are discovering them for the first time.
Industry analysts forecast that the market will grow 65% between 2010 and 2015. A recent study conducted by Global Industry Analysts, Inc. has forecast that global watches market would reach $46.6bn by 2017.
With improvement in discretionary incomes, consumers are showing growing interest in buying wide array of watches to complement outfits and hobbies, the study said, noting that products gaining major importance are the ones with fashion statement.
The event held at Hilton Hotel Jeddah provided not only an opportunity for watch manufacturers, particularly the high-end manufacturers, to tap the sizeable demand for luxury watches, but at the same time showed their appreciation by handing over valuable gifts to lucky patrons.
Gc's participation in Wedding Arabia 2012 highlighted the company's commitment to continuously provide discriminating customers with, not only quality, but trendy watches as well.
Gc showcased its latest creation of luxury watches for both for men and women at the exhibition and as a sign of goodwill, gave opportunity to the newlyweds or couples to win valuable gifts for men and women. And finally, Gc announced Tuesday that Ms. Ashwaq Al Ghamdi won the coveted Gc prize for her Gc Femme and her fiancé Gc Slim Class.
