Best Western plans new properties in Iraq, Saudi Arabia

Best Western International Inc., which last week opened its first hotel in Jordan, is planning to add 100 hotels totalling 28,000 rooms during the next four years in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The plan includes new hotels in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and Indonesia. "Best Western International is looking toward continued growth in both regions to meet increasing demand from an expanding middle class and international business travellers," said Best Western spokeswoman Lauren Zilverberg.
