- PRESS RELEASE
WhereverTV Broadcasting Corp. , a leader in delivering over the top (OTT) subscription television services to a variety of devices including ConnectedTVs, streaming media players, smartphones and TabletPCs, announced the upcoming launch of its expanded ArabicTV service offering, which will include more than 25 of the most popular channels from the Middle East.
Mr. Cavicchia continued, "In addition to offering the most popular channel from Morocco, 2M Maroc, the Company is excited to be adding leading channels from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates. We will follow this launch with the addition of at least one new Arabic channel every month for the remainder of 2013."
The new ArabicTV service will be available via the Company's WhereverTV application, currently available on GoogleTV and Android Smartphones and TabletPCs, and is expected to be available on Apple devices later this month.
"The fact that more than 1.3 million Android devices are activated every day gives us tremendous reach in to the growing number of Arabic speaking residents throughout the Americas," stated Mr. Cavicchia, who also added, "once our iPhone and iPad applications are available later this month, we will have even greater reach into this important segment of the population through two of the most popular connected device platforms in the world."
WhereverTV is the next generation subscription television service, providing consumers with programming identical to existing cable & satellite providers. WhereverTV delivers the same channels and events via an over the top (OTT) service platform to single-family, multi-family, high-rises and businesses throughout North America and South America. The Company's platform downlinks, encodes and broadcasts linear television programming to Connected Televisions, blu-ray players, set top boxes, tablet PCs, laptops, and smartphones. The WhereverTV platform manages broadcast rights across geographies and provides individual customer viewing experiences based on customer locations (geo-targeting) and content-rights management (subscriptions).
