Panasonic, a global technology leader, generated significant interest by demonstrating its full range of security products and solutions at Intersec 2013, the largest security exhibition in the region.
The products that garnered a huge interest included Panasonic's new and expanded line-up of network, analog, industrial and home network products.
Products on display comprised of full HD end-to-end CCTV system, current line up and fire alarm systems, cameras (IP & Analogue), recorders, fire alarm panel, detectors and complete IP control room software and integrated solutions. These products are among Panasonic's reliable and long-lasting solutions for the security market.
These wide ranges of security solutions are designed to empower various sectors like government, healthcare, education, retail, and a wide variety of large and small commercial enterprises.
"Our industry specific solutions are custom-made to deliver best of breed technology and Intersec has provided an excellent platform to showcase our products whilst enabling positive and prospective lead generation. The security and systems solutions sector is currently witnessing a manifold growth and the consultants, suppliers and end-users are open and keen to learn about new, simplified and technically advanced products. This spells a new growth wave for the products offered by us and we are using this opportunity to capitalise it further," said Hayashi Noriyuki, Manager, System Solutions Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF).
During Intersec 2013, Panasonic has introduced new cameras which will help organizations to increase the security levels and provide value added features, such as the 360° full HD view and a new line of a specialist cameras with built in intelligent features and video analytics such as counting, congestion analytics, and fog compensation.
From 2010 till date, Panasonic has introduced more than 50 IP cameras to its industry expanding IP camera line-up. The WV- SW458 and WV-SF438 offering a 360° full HD view have been the highlight during this year.
The new i‐PRO Full HD Network cameras are all equipped with Panasonic's proprietary platform UniPhier, and Full HD video transmission. They are also equipped with a 3.1 megapixel high sensitivity MOS sensor, creating high resolution 3 megapixel JPEG (2048 x 1536) and Panasonic high profile H.264 compression Full HD (1920 x 1080) 30fps images to meet a wide range of surveillance requirements.JPEG/H.264 multiple streaming transmission is also supported.
Outdoor‐ready models with high impact resistance capabilities (Vandal Resistant) with IP66 waterproof will also help expand your surveillance area coverage. The SW458M model is specially equipped with a M12 connector to meet demands for certain transportation requirements.
A minimum illumination of 0.5 lx* allows color images even in minimal lighting.
The Electronic Sensitivity Enhancement and Day/Night features enhance this capability even further to 0.03 lx(Color)/0.004 lx(BW)* when filming in the dark, making these cameras ideal for 24-hour surveillance.
The i‐PRO SmartHD series not only improves its image quality and capability, but it also simplifies the settings and operations to reduce the burdens on the operators.
Commenting on the product portfolio, Hayashi Noriyuki, Manager, System Solutions Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF) added, "We will continuously make efforts to provide the "best‐fit" solution towards existing markets where requirements differ depending on customer operation".
Furthermore, the i-Pro WV-ASM200 operations and management software is ideal for multi-recorder, multi-site system applications. It provides a virtual matrix for IP surveillance systems, enabling multi-monitoring and alarm notification from remote locations over a shared network. Live images can be received directly from the camera or via the recorder allowing flexible network design. Multiple monitor configuration enables simultaneous use of Live (1/4/9/16 split), Review (Spot/Quad) and Map *display each on a dedicated monitor.
Also on display were WV-TW310 series of Wearable Camera which offers a 180 degree wide angle lens and high-resolution to record the entire party or objects that would be in a camera's wide angle view whether they are at close range or at a distance. Images are encoded to H.264 and saved on the SDHC memory card.
It is possible to record up to approximately 32 hours, depending on the video bit rate. Panasonic technology with the UniPhier LSI enables high compression and high quality.
Wearable Camera Viewer Software enables the images to playback with stabilization and distortion correction. By the gyroscope compensation, the picture would always be easy to view even if the camera's direction is rotated.
Panasonic's photoelectric smoke detector 4352 will also be on display.
The photoelectric (optical) smoke detector has a low profile design. In the detection chamber is a high-efficient optical system 9consisting of an LED and a photodiode with two lenses. Scattered light (i.e. reflection of infrared light) is used to detect smoke. The latest IC technology is used to secure the highest reliability possible.
The base has an LED that will light when the detector goes into alarm. The detector is intended for indoor use and in dry premises. It is excellent to detect large, bright smoke particles as from a smouldering fire.
The Panasonic stand is located in Hall 2 of the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Intersec trade fair is the largest and most comprehensive exhibition for security and safety in the Middle East. Intersec 2013 will showcase the latest technologies and apparatus in Commercial Security & Information Security, Homeland Security & Policing, Fire & Rescue and Safety & Health.
