World Energy Forum Executive Committee discusses latest developments in its seventh meeting

The World Energy Forum 2012 Executive Committee held its seventh meeting at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority headquarters.
The participants discussed in detail preparations for hosting the World Energy Forum, which will be hosted by Dubai in the World Trade Center from 22—24 October 2012 at Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme, 'A Forum For World Leaders.'
The participants also discussed the Forum's agenda, the progress achieved to-date, and the required security arrangements to receive high-profile delegations.
The Security Committee went over the plan in place while the Media and Communications Committee brought attendees up to speed with developments in the media, publicity and hospitality plans.
The Forum will host a number of world leaders, ministers, policy makers and the business leaders representing the largest corporations active in the energy sector; who will spearhead a global effort to discuss energy issues and launch a global movement to provide safer, cleaner and more sustainable energy for all.
Al Tayer confirmed that efforts are still underway to host high-level participating delegations from around the world, thanking the wise leadership's commitment to facilitating the arrangements, providing the necessary security to host the forum and ensuring its success, which has further established Dubai's position as a global hub for business, trade and tourism.
