WorleyParsons gets contract extension for the Rumaila oilfield

Iraq's State Oil Marketing Organisation (SOMO) has awarded Australia's WorleyParsons an extension to its contract to help British Petroleum (BP) and its partners boost production at the Rumaila oilfield in Southern Iraq. The extension will see WorleyParsons continue providing Engineering, Procurement and Management services to boost production from the super-giant oilfield. The contract is being executed from WorleyParsons' offices in London, UAE and Iraq, the company said.
