YahLive's GCC HD Academy roadshow visits Saudi Arabia

YahLive, the High Definition television satellite broadcast platform and the home of HD for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has certified more than 170 satellite television dealers and installation technicians in Dubai, Kuwait and Jeddah as part of its GCC roadshow following successful completion of a YahLive Academy workshop and technical training in High Definition television.

Broadcasting from the powerful Yahsat satellite Y1A at 52.5° East, Abu Dhabi-based YahLive launched its proprietary YahLive HD Academy in June 2012 to create a strong HD installation network to support the growing demand for HD TV among GCC televisions households.

Following the successful launch of three HD Academy events in 2012, the YahLive HD Academy Roadshow will also visit Riyadh, Dammam, Abu Dhabi and major cities in Egypt, Qatar and Bahrain in 2013.

Commenting on the event, Mohamed Youssif, YahLive's Chief Executive Officer, said, "We're delighted by the positive response the GCC HD Academy has received in Dubai, Kuwait City and Jeddah, which is indicative of the rapidly growing consumer demand for HD in the region. The HD Academy is one of the many building blocks that YahLive leverages to drive the HD revolution and create the network of partners, dealers and installers necessary to support the region's HD demand."

YahLive has already created an exclusively High Definition bouquet of nearly 50 quality channels including those from Saudi TV, GEM Group, Dubai Media Incorporated, Abu Dhabi TV, Cartoon Network Arabic, Russia Today, Russia Al Youm and MBC.
