The Youth Company and US-Qatar Business Council to announce their cooperation

The US-Qatar Business Council recently hosted delegates from The Youth Company in a collection of events aimed at introducing Qatar's youth social enterprise to prospective counterparts and contacts here in Washington, DC.
The day began with a roundtable breakfast at The Army and Navy Club, which was attended by a number of Council contacts and members. The morning was highlighted by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Council and The Youth Company that will lead to future cooperation in a variety of fields.
Following breakfast, The Youth Company delegation and Council representatives made their way to the Anacostia River where they met with representatives from the Earth Conservation Corps (ECC). The ECC organizes youth-development and conservation programs aimed at restoring the ecosystem of the Anacostia River. At their headquarters, the ECC and The Youth Company discussed a variety of strategies to raise environmental awareness amongst youth populations in the Middle East.
The day was rounded out with a trip to the National Geographic Society for a tour of their exhibit, 1001 Inventions: Discover the Golden Age of Muslim Civilization.
The Council was very excited to host one of Qatar's most dynamic enterprises and is looking forward to working with them in the future.
