YouTube rolls out new tool to help non-profit organisations raise funds

YouTube has launched a new online feature allowing non-profit organisations to create campaigns, track their progress, set goals like increased views or subscribers, and accept contributions, PC Magazine has reported. More than 18,000 organisations have already signed up for the YouTube Nonprofit Programme, but the video sharing portal hopes more people will sign up to spread awareness and "get petitions signed, laws changed, dollars raised, and lives saved," YouTube software engineer David D wrote on the company blog.
