Zain Bahrain supports the Fourth e-learning Conference

The fourth e-learning conference organised by the Zain e-learning Center at the University of Bahrain will this year explore best practices in developing e-learning courses as this form of knowledge sharing becomes increasingly relevant to society.

Organised under the patronage of the Deputy PM of Bahrain, His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the conference runs from May 7 to 9 at the Crown Plaza,Convention Hall The theme of the conference this year will be "Best practices in management, design and development of e-courses: standards of excellence and creativity."

The Zain e-learning Center has selected presentations that will reflect on the latest trends in nurturing best practices in the design, development, management and teaching of e-courses to demonstrate excellence, creativity and identification of the criteria for such excellence.

The central idea is to create a core set of excellence parameters that will remain constant regardless of the subject of the e-learning course or the culture that it serves. A competition for the best course will be a part of the conference and the best creative work to improve the environment for e-learning will be nominated for the conference Award. There will also be awards and cash prizes for the Best Paper.

Delegates at the event will include I.T. students, professionals, faculty and decision-makers. Alongside the conference, an exhibition of telecommunication companies, technologies and software related to e-learning as well as learning management systems, e-universities e-books, e-commerce will be on display.

Zain Bahrain General Manager Mohammed Zainalabedin said, The Zain e-learning Center at the University of Bahrain is a major CSR initiative of Zain Bahrain and part of the company's investment in the future of Bahrain.

We are sure this will translate into even more effective e-learning opportunities and in this context, this conference will give e-learning centers and academicians an opportunity to brainstorm and get ahead in developing new agenda and curricula for this new futuristic method of knowledge sharing."
