Mr Smith will focus on enhancing the presence of Zenith in Asia with primary target countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Australia.
He joins from Weatherford where he was the regional business unit manager for several production optimisation product lines and has more than 20 years experience in business development, product development and engineering across the energy, environmental monitoring and mining sectors. Greg Davie, general manager of Zenith, said: "Zenith has been in a strong position for a number of years and the acquisition by Lufkin is the ideal catalyst to move the company to the next level.
