Ajman Bank “POWER” Credit Card has been recognized with the “Critics’ Choice – Best Islamic Credit Card 2015” Award by Cambridge IF Analytica – a UK-based Islamic finance intelligence specialist.
The award was decided by a Critics’ Choice Awards Committee and presented to Ajman Bank at the inaugural “Islamic Retail Banking Awards 2015” during the 7th World Islamic Retail Banking Conference the was held on Tuesday, 17th November, 2015, at Hotel Taj Dubai – Dubai.
The award was received by Mr. Hisham Hammoud, Chief Business Officer, in the presence of a number of managers and executives from the bank.
Mr. Mohammad Amiri, CEO of Ajman Bank commented: “I am delighted to receive this award; it is a new addition and a strong proof on the Bank’s commitment and quest for excellence, it also highlights the level of progression and development the bank had during the last two years. On the other hand, Mr. Hisham Hammoud, Chief Business Officer said: “Islamic Retail Banking Awards are first of its kind of awards Programme, with two award categories. The first one is called Strongest Islamic Retail Banks and the other one is called Critics’ Choice Awards. Critics’ Choice Awards are chosen by a Critics’ Choice Committee, and presented to Islamic banks for the best Islamic banking products in their respective class”. He added: “Ajman Bank’s Power Credit Card was chosen as the Best Islamic Credit Card 2015 for a number of reasons including it’s branding and the Power bonus points it gives to its users on each and every transactions. It is the first and the only Islamic credit card that rewards its holders with bonus points that can be redeemed for a range of services and products of their preference. Power Card symbolizes the privilege and control that the customer exercises.”
The year 2015 marked a truly historic milestone for Ajman Bank, were it had experienced numerous changes as it has evolved in all of its business units, especially Retail segment. The Bank has enhanced its retail products and services provided to customer, aiming to grow its current customer-base and with plans to expand further by providing a wide range of independently, Shariah complaint and customer-centric products and services, including Personal Finance, Auto Finance, Home Finance and the bank’s one of kind, exclusive product, the Land Finance.
All of these initiatives and consistent year on year performance have positioned Ajman Bank among the best Islamic banks in the country.
Most notably, the bank received several awards during the period 2014-2015, including the winning of both the Banker Middle East Industrial & Products Awards 2015, presented by CPI, the Banker Middle East Magazine, where it had being named as the “Fastest Growing Bank in the UAE & the Middle East – BME Industrial Awards” and had won the “Best New Investment Product Award – Product Awards”, the bank’s call center had also been recognized being among the Top Ten UAE Banks with Good Call Centre Service by Ethos Consultancy in 2014.
