“Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children” launches “Noon” winter camp

Dubai Police, DEWA and RTA are among the main participants

“Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children” opened registration for the winter camp called, Noon. The camp will be hosted from 20 to 31 December, 2015, and is for children of all nationalities who are between 4 and 16 years of age.

A series of art, culture, craft and environment themed events are planned at the ‘Noon’ winter camp. Various activities ranging from Puppet Theater (for 6 years and below) and live theater (for the age group between 7 and 16), photography, radio station activities, drawing, pottery, Emirati kitchen, woodcraft and story-reading are being planned. The ‘Noon’ camp aims to provide a playground of imagination for participants. The camp will be held across different sections of the Centre, providing entertainment and joy to participants, daily from 10:30am until 2pm.

In cooperation with local institutions and government entities the Camp aims to provide a variety of fun and educational activities, participating organizations are Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Police and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Commission scout and the Emirates Science Club. As part of the camp agenda, participants will be visiting Zabeel Park in Dubai. The camp will conclude with an exhibition showcasing artworks and handicrafts of the participants.

“Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children” in Dubai is a non-profit organization, providing opportunities to educate children within a secure and learning environment.

The Centre receives children who wish to benefit from its services, accepting annual memberships as well as school visits. Cultural understanding and awareness is yet another aspect of the Centre’s course offerings.
