Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) Q.S.C. has launched an aid fund to support the recovery needs of the people in the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan. The voluntary donations which were made by al khaliji employees to the fund were matched by the Bank, with an aim to help in the long-term recovery efforts in the aftermath of the natural disaster.
al khaliji Group Chief Executive Officer, Robin McCall presented the donation cheque to the Qatar Red Crescent Society in the presence of the Philippines Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Crescente R. Relacion.
“The disaster has brought unprecedented devastation and damage to the people in the Philippines. Our hearts go out to all those who were impacted by this storm. We hope that our contribution will help the people who have been displaced to rebuild their homes and lives. This small gesture demonstrates al khaliji’s on-going commitment to helping communities suffering from disasters.”
