Al-Waha Petrochemicals shutdown may reduce Q3 profits

Saudi Arabian petrochemical producer Sahara Petrochemical Co. declared that a shutdown in polypropylene output at its subsidiary Al-Waha Petrochemicals may reduce profit in the third quarter by nearly SR9m ($2.4m), Tadawul has reported. The company said in a bourse statement that the unit, which was shut down due to a technical fault, will be closed for maintenance for a period of not more than nine days.
