Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C, a leading employer of Bahrainis, demonstrated its support towards initiatives that develop the youth of Bahrain through its sponsorship support for world renowned Postsecondary International Network (PIN) Conference, which is being held from 01 to 06 November 2015 in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Hosted by Bahrain Polytechnic – a well-known provider of applied higher education in the Kingdom, the PIN Conference 2015 will be held under the theme, ‘Experiential Learning and Work-Readiness’.
Alba today, 04 November, 2015 hosted members of the PIN Conference wherein they met with the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray, and Executives, Directors and Managers. The visiting delegation were given a tour of the smelter and briefed about Alba’s Training and Development department, the company’s operations and facilities as well as its position as a leading smelter in the world.
Speaking on the occasion, Alba’s CEO Tim Murray said: “As a Bahraini company, we believe in supporting initiatives that enable young Bahrainis to acquire professional skills that will equip them to be tomorrow’s business leaders. Alba’s sponsorship underlines the Company’s support towards the Economic Vision 2030 of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in which education is as an important pillar in the economy of Bahrain.”
A signing ceremony was held previously at Alba to commemorate the sponsorship support and was attended by Alba’s Director Administration, Abdul Rahman Janahi, Alba officials and Bahrain Polytechnic’s Acting CEO, Dr. Mohamed Al-Aseeri, Deputy CEO Office, Dr. Hasan Al-Mulla and Sharifa Al Hujairi, Event Coordinator.
