Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C, one of the leading aluminium smelters in the world and an occupational safety and health performer, won the Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015.
Alba’s Manager – Sales Europe, Boris Santosi received the award on behalf of the Company during a ceremony held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, UKin July, 2015.
On this occasion, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray, said: “Employee safety and health is our number one priority. Alba maintains year-round campaigns and initiatives to ensure that there is a constant awareness on safety and health. It is an honour to receive the ROSPA Award, which recognises that our safety standards that are on par with international levels.”

The RoSPA Awards recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, judges consider participants’ occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
