American Express Middle East has become the Preferred Payment Card for Shop Bahrain, held from 24th December 2015 to 23rd January 2016 across the Kingdom. The partnership will see the world’s leading payment card company supporting the second year of the shopping festival with offers for both Cardmembers, and those who want to become an American Express Cardmember.
American Express Cardmembers in the region will receive four Shop Bahrain points for every dinar spent, increasing their chance of winning one of the 22,000 instant, daily, weekly and grand prizes. This is in addition to the Membership Rewards points they receive and which allow Cardmembers to enjoy a unique range of rewards including hotel stays, retail vouchers, luxury goods and flights and upgrades on 12 major airlines including, Gulf Air, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways and British Airways.
Under the partnership with Shop Bahrain, American Express is also offering a unique opportunity to new customers joining during the shopping festival. Not only will new Cardmembers receive all of the usual benefits of being an American Express Cardmember, and one of the widest choices of cards including both Charge and Credit in local and US dollar currencies, but they will be eligible for a special shopping festival offer of a 10% cash back that applies not only on goods bought during the month-long Shop Bahrain event but for the first six months of their membership. American Express Representatives will be available at Shop Bahrain booths across the country to provide further information for people who wish to join American Express.
