The American School of Doha (ASD) has said more than 100 seats will be added within the next two years for students in grades 6 to 12, as part of its expansion plans, Gulf Times has reported. "We are adding 130 seats for students in grades 6 to 12. In order to do that, our facility will have some extensions and we will have some new buildings in the former gymnasiums," said school director, Deborah Welch. "When that is done, the campus will be optimised as the school's master plan will be fully utilised to ensure maximum use," she said. ASD currently has around 2,100 students from 72 nationalities, 240 teachers and 140 support staff members, Welch noted.
