Bahrain Free Labor Unions Federation organises training programme

For Professional Coaches in Cooperation with Tamkeen.

As part of their joint efforts to upgrade the skills and capabilities of Bahrainis working in the Kingdom, the Bahrain Free Labor Unions Federation (BFLUF),in cooperation with Tamkeen and Abrar Centre, organised a seven-day intensive training programme for professional coaches.

The programme was part of important scientific and training activities implemented by BFLUF’s training and culture committee.

The programme provided training for trainers, asthey constitute a key element in the process of providing adequate training for many Bahrainis working in the Kingdom. It offered integrated methods encouraging participants to implement world-class standards and best practices in knowledge transfer.

Ms. Nassreen Alasoomi, Vice President for Training and Labour Culture at BFLUF, said the programme was aimed at boosting the skills of professional coaches. This covered the areas of effective lecturing, planning and management of training sessions, preparation of training packages and development of coaches’ capabilities to prepare and evaluate training programmes. The course also sought to educate participants about ethics and traits of successful coaches as well as psychology of training.

For her part, Tamkeen’s Chief Operating Officer Ms. Amal Al Kooheji, commended BFLUF’s efforts, saying they are in line with Tamkeen’s objectives of providing support to enhance Bahrainis’ productivity and growth in labour market. Such programmes, she added, are key to strengthening the Kingdom’s training infrastructure, which is vital for economic development.

Mr. Yaqoob Mohamed Yousif, chairman of BFLUF’s Executive Council, said the federation will implement various programmes and activities as planned by its committees.

He thanked Tamkeen and Abrar Center for their cooperation with BFLUF in executing the training programme in the best way possible.
