AlGhubrah Power and Desalination Company concludes its project “Baiti Aamen/My House is Safe” successfully with the support of Nama Group.
The goal of this project is to protect homes and residential buildings and to train the residents on the proper mechanisms on how to behave during a fire or any accident or injury, which was carried out in cooperation with volunteers from Nama Group staff, in addition to the participation of volunteers from the community and Nidaa team.
The project aimed to train around 400 people from Wilayat Bowshar on first aid and firefighting while educating them on home safety, in addition to train 90 student from Higher College of Technology, AlKhuwair, additionally to supply 200 homes with first aid kits and firefighting tools.
In this context, Yaqoob AlRabani, HSSE/Compliance Manager added: “The project included sensitizing the targeted group of medical and environmental emergencies and various injuries and teaching them how to apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation for all age groups, as well as to identify the basics of preventing fires in the house and the types of fire and methods of fire suppression, in addition to teaching them how to use fire extinguishers and how the correct behavior in case of a fire.”
“At the end of each session, coaches undergo tests on the process and gives each trainee a certificate approved by the American Heart Association and paramedic card for two years with the distribution of first aid kit and fire extinguishers in different types and sizes,” he concluded.
