Keeping true with the Bank commitment to demonstrate excellence in service to its customers, Bank Sohar recently held a branch managers meeting under the theme ‘Way forward in 2015’. The meeting was held in order to review and analyse the progress that had been achieved so far in the financial year, and to brief Branch Managers on the business strategy for the coming year 2015.
The meeting was held at Crowne Plaza Muscat recently and was attended by Mr. Rashad Ali Al Musafir, Acting CEO and Mr. R Narasimhan, DGM and Head of Retail Banking, together with other representatives from the Bank’s Executive Management and the Bank Sohar Branch Managers from across its nation-wide network.
The event began with a welcome speech by Mr. R Narasimhan, followed by a message on ‘Customer Service Excellence’ by Mr. Rashad Ali Al Musafir, who said, “Since the inception of the bank, we have maintained a very strong commitment towards customer service. This is stiff competition within the banking sector, and 2015 will be another challenge of our abilities to lead the competitive market. Regardless, we as a team will make a concerted and focused effort to make 2015 the year of Service excellence at Bank Sohar.”
The Acting CEO’s speech was followed by a comprehensive business review of 2014 and key discussions related to business expectations and areas of improvement.
Mr. R Narasimhan added, “This meeting is an extremely important event for the Bank. As we grow, it is essential to focus on the step-wise targets and to monitor the strategy to ensure augmentation of the business. Furthermore, as these meetings are attended by senior management team, it gives us an opportunity to help connect with staff at the branch level and help share ideas to further develop and carry forward the Bank’s future strategy.”

In addition to providing an ideal platform for the Executive Management and branch managers to focus on the tasks and challenges ahead, the Meeting also provided an opportunity for the executive management to show their appreciations to some of the Branch Managers for their outstanding performance. During the meeting Mr. Rashad Al Musafir expressed his support in the area of retail business as well as share his concerns regarding issues related to the sector and opportunities for business improvements and developments.
