Bank Sohar launches its new Facebook competition

Taking forward the commitment towards customer engagement across all mediums, Bank Sohar is pleased to announce its first competition on Facebook, giving fans the exclusive opportunity to win lucrative prizes, while sharing tips on how to save from their own real life experiences.

In the past several months, Bank Sohar’s official Facebook page has not only witnessed a tremendous growth, but has also seen a high level of engagement from page fans, questions and comments. Highlighting the growing engagement power of social media, Bank Sohar launched its Facebook competition on March 09, 2014 for a period of two weeks where it has requested fans to share their personal and most effective tips on saving to enter the competition. The best three savings tips will be selected by Bank Sohar and the participants will win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 each in addition to being featured in Bank Sohar’s Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme advertisement campaign.

Ms. Munira Abdulnabi Macki, DGM – Human Resources & Corporate Support at Bank Sohar, commented on the launch of the contest, “Social media networks have become an extremely important aspect of our daily lives, becoming an increasingly prominent medium of communication. Seeing the phenomenal growth that our social media platforms have witnessed, and with the official Bank Sohar page crossing the 18,000 mark, we decided that we would connect better with our fans through an interactive and engaging competition.”

She also said, “In line with Bank Sohar’s Al Mumayaz Saving Scheme, this contest will not only increase awareness about the benefits of savings but also give the Bank’s fans an opportunity to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 by simply sharing tips from their everyday experiences.”

Having started the official Facebook page and Twitter account in June 2013, Bank Sohar has come a long way in taking the Bank closer to its customers and responding to queries on a real time basis.

As an additional feature this year, the Bank has been providing saving tips in various aspects of life which can help customers to save more and invest their prize money better. This Facebook competition is a step forward in the same direction, inviting inputs from our customers to make saving an easier and more productive task.”

Fans of the official Bank Sohar Facebook Page have exclusive access to a wide range of engaging content, from special offers to the latest brand activities, promotions, product news and also announcements of the various winners under the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme. Fans wishing to enter the contest should send in their savings tips via Bank Sohar’s Facebook page on or before 22 March 2014. The Bank will thereafter declare the winners awarding the best three tip providers with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and featuring the winner names and respective tips as part of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme Advertising Campaign.
