Bank Sohar was recently presented with the ‘Best Enterprise Award’ in the fields of quality and management from the Europe Business Assembly based in the UK for offering consistently high levels of service diversification, product quality, stability whilst at the same time regularly implementing innovative new financial instruments and maintaining an efficient country-wide operational network.
This marks the fourth award recognition the Bank has received this year.
This latest accolade was presented to Bank Sohar at a prestigious award ceremony following a forum under the title ‘Achievements Forum 2015’, held at the British Institutes of Directors in London, United Kingdom.
The event was attended by businessmen, financiers, diplomats, leaders of chambers of commerce, business associations, business and professional unions from more than 60 countries. Representing the Bank at the ceremony were Mrs. Jeanan Sultan, Senior AGM of Syndications and Project Financing, and Mr. Farid Ahmed Al Khaify, AGM of Internal Audit.

The Bank was also recognised for efficiently operated country-wide branch and ATM network together with its regular implementation of innovative financial instruments in its ever evolving path towards banking and customer service excellence.
As a result, Bank Sohar has been a leader in introducing innovative services effectively leveraging modern technology and offering reliable and quality products to its corporate and retail customers. The Bank has also earned a reputation for actively encouraging communication and gathering public feedback through various social media platforms and other communication channels to reach out to its customers.

The accolades presented to the ‘Best Enterprises Award’ winners were meticulously crafted by famous London jeweller Alfred Winiecki. The trophy design, in the shape of a hand, was chosen as a representation of the hard work for which it was being awarded and was accompanied by a medal, certificate and diploma.
The award marks the fourth award recognition for the Bank in 2015, having won the ‘Best Banking Performance’ Award at the fourth edition of the Al Roya Economic Award, the ‘Golden Order of Merit in the field of CSR’ Award from UAE based Excellence Awards Academy, and was named the best ‘Straight Through Processing’ (STP) banks in Oman by Standard Chartered Bank earlier this year.
