Following the resounding success of its 2015 Savings Scheme, BankDhofar unveiled the new edition of the customer rewards campaign for the year 2016, increasing the number of winners and offering more valuable cash prizes in the weekly and monthly draws.
Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, Acting CEO of BankDhofar, said: “The new Savings Scheme 2016 is part of our concentrated efforts to enrich our customer experience and to reward those who save. We strive to provide the best services and products in the market as our banking solutions are customised to suit our customers’ needs and requirements. The new customer rewards programme this year follows the tremendous success of the Savings Scheme 2015 where we saw an improved awareness and emphasis on the culture of saving. We did not only increase the number and the value of cash prizes but also added customised winner categories and allocated prizes to cover all governorates and all branches in the Sultanate, ensuring more customers were included in the scheme.”
As per the new scheme, BankDhofar customers who save a minimum of 100 OMR in their accounts are eligible to enter the weekly and monthly draws where five lucky winners will win cash prizes worth 5,000 OMR (1,000 OMR for each winner) and five more lucky winners will win cash prizes worth 10,000 OMR (2,000 OMR for each winner) in the weekly draw. In the monthly draw, one lucky winner will win a cash prize of 10,000 OMR while one lucky Al Riadah customer will win a 25,000 OMR cash prize. Prize draws will be conducted across BankDhofar branches in all governorates throughout the year. Every week the draw will be conducted in one of the governorates and will exclusively include customers from that governorate, allowing more customers the chance to win.
Faisal Hamed Al Wahaibi, Chief Retail Banking Officer at BankDhofar, elaborated on the scheme saying: “For the 2016 Savings Scheme, we have increased the number of winners to 524 throughout the year. The total value of cash prizes has also been increased and we have introduced a new customised prize for Al Riadah customers.”
Khalid Al Amri – Head of Retail Products, Business & Segments Department at BankDhofar – also added: “BankDhofar has been investing millions of Omani Rials to enrich the lives of customers and promote a culture of saving among all members of society. Already over 17 million Omani Rials worth of cash prizes have been given away to the bank’s customers since the Savings Scheme launched.”
