Bee’ah, the Middle East’s award-winning and leading integrated environmental and waste management company, made a major impression on visitors to the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), which took place from 4-14 November at the Expo Centre Sharjah.
Bee’ah’s booth – which had four different books the company has jointly published alongside Kalimat, with strong environmental messages about conservation, biodiversity, waste management and air quality – was a hit with children, parents, the media and VIP guests alike. Participating in the SIBF for the very first time, Bee’ah exceeded all expectations.
A special highlight was a visit to the booth by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and Founder and CEO of Kalimat Group, and the words of wisdom and encouragement she offered to Bee’ah’s team.
Young visitors to Bee’ah’s booth particularly enjoyed hearing the four books – titled Al Bait Ykhtafi (The House is Disappearing), Kul Shay Yadoor (The Cycle of Everything), Al Haya Helwa (Life is Beautiful), and Helm Saifi (Midday Summer Dream) – narrated out loud during reading sessions. They received a special treat on 11th November, when Farah Shamma, the renowned poet, gave a dramatic recital in Arabic of Helm Saifi.
Bee’ah’s booth received much praise for its thought-provoking and distinctive design, inspired by the environmental themes at the heart of the four books. This striking design helped the booth stand out at the SIBF, which welcomed over 1,500 exhibitors and more than a million visitors.
Bee’ah is at the forefront of ‘green’ innovation in the Middle East, working tirelessly towards making Sharjah a sustainable city – and the environmental capital of the region – though its diverse range of services and initiatives to improve education.
