Berger Paints leaves ‘lasting impression’ at 2013 Home Show

It is a name associated with play of colours, varied textures and a wide palette – Berger Paints stall at the Home Show was a display of all this and more.

The attractive stall lured many visitors to view and ‘touch and feel’ the various panels that displayed the four latest range of products under the Let’s Play platform that are completely new to the market. This year, fashion has been extended from the ramp to dress up the interiors of homes adding oomph to the decor under the range Royale Play Textiles. Six ultra chic finishes in a wide colour palette include denim, jute, leather, crushed silk, yarn and kora grass.

The summer textures have been recreated to bring a warm glow to the walls of any house under Royale Play Dunes and Royale Play Safari. The Dunes recreate Whirl, Drizzle and Halo textures while Safari comes in Classic, Rain Storm, Ocean Wave, Sleet and Frost textures. But what proved to be the most popular was the Kid’s Range that has 16 themes for walls and four themes for ceilings that light up and glow in the dark. Desert Safari, Jurrasica, Underwater, Lighthouse, Outer Space and Talking Birds were some of the themes done up in the special cabin at the stall for consumers to experience the concept first hand. What’s more, all colours in the children’s range are water based and completely safe.

On one side of the stall, Berger trained painters held live demonstrations as well as invited guests to try their hand at painting panels of their choice that they could carry back with them once dry. An interior designer was also present at the venue to offer advice on some of the wonderful effects that can be recreated on walls for a distinctive look along with accessories and furnishings that can be added to best complement each other.

More than 1000 visitors registered at the Berger Paints at the Home Show and each of the names was entered into a draw wherein each day, two winners were offered a complimentary makeover of a room of their choice. A total of six makeover rooms were given away during the three-day exhibition.

“We had an interesting mix of reactions from clients during the Home Show. While most took time to look around and touch and feel the textures, some were busy taking photographs of their spouses trying their hand at painting the panels. The Kid’s Range was a hand’s down winner with people returning with their friends and family members to show the glow in the dark effect in the varied themes. The turnout has motivated us to have a presence in the upcoming Women’s Expo as well from the 17 – 19 December at the Oman International Exhibition Centre,” said Mr. P.K. Raj, General Manager.
