Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) has recently signed a strategic agreement with Visa, the global leader in electronic payments, to further enhance the Bank’s partnership with Visa for the upcoming five years. The agreement is part of the Bank’s endeavours to consolidate co-operation and efforts with various parties concerned with the development of the banking services and products which it offers to its customers.
The agreement was signed, on the Bank’s behalf, by Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Janahi, Acting Chief Executive, while on Visa’s behalf it was signed by Mr. Majeed Hujair, Visa Country Manager, Bahrain and Oman.
Commenting on this occasion, Acting Chief Executive Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Janahi said: “We are highly pleased to enhance our relationship with a major company of Visa’s status and size. Visa has played a vital role in the success and spread of a number of our banking products and services in Bahrain.”
Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Janahi added: “We take much pride in this co-operation through which we have reaped the fruit of many years of partnership. We hope that our efforts and co-operation will continue in order to realize the objectives of both parties for the future.”
For his part, Visa Country Manager, Bahrain and Oman, Mr. Majeed Hujair, said he was delighted with this partnership with BisB, the leading Islamic bank in Bahrain, which has resulted in a number of significant achievements. He also said he looks forward to more achievements in the future and cooperation in new areas between Visa and BisB.
