"First of all, I think, blockchain is a great platform. It's an open platform for travel agencies and startups to be able to provide new services," said Christian Lunden, Director of Future Business at Nordic Choice Hotels, speaking exclusively to AMEinfo on the sidelines of the Future Blockchain Summit 2019 in Dubai.

Christian Lunden spoke about the potential value proposition that blockchain brings to travel startups and agencies, and the new possibilities of collaborations and integrations through blockchain.

"The biggest positive effect with blockchain is that it is not owned by anyone. It's totally decentralized. So, we know that no one will make extra money on it if it goes big. We know that it will always be a non-profit solution … and that's the biggest advantage on having it on a blockchain and not having it on a separate server," Christian Lunden said.
